Snooki and Jwoww Get Spin Off Show
An untitled spinoff featuring Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi and Jenni "JWoww" Farley is set to start filming on the mean streets of Jersey City, N.J.
The Associated Press reports that producers have been given filming permits and will begin shooting the series in and around the neighborhood near Jersey City's Grove Street PATH station.
The show's producers were denied a permit to film in nearby Hoboken, N.J., last week, citing quality-of-life concerns for the city's residents, and the inhabitants of Jersey Shore, Pa., didn't want the show there either. But Jersey City's mayor, Jerramiah Healy, sees the filming as a good way to promote the city. Has he seen "Jersey Shore"?
Of course, the question may not be if Snooki and JWoww are good for Jersey City, but if Jersey City is good for Snooki and JWoww. Recent FBI statistics show a slight rise in violent crime there, though local police are claiming a drop in assaults over the same time period.
This week, the Jersey Journal reported on a standing-room-only Jersey City Council meeting where local residents took council members to task over the perceived rise in crime in their city.
The city, nicknamed "Chilltown," lies across the Hudson River from lower Manhattan, and is home to the Colgate Clock, one of the largest timepieces in the world.
To better promote the city, Snooki and JWoww will no doubt take the time to visit Jersey City's many cultural institutions and really put the best face on a beleaguered urban area.
We can all dream, right?

Jersey Shore's season five premiere date + Proof that the show is fake?
Here is my previous post with a sneak peak of season five and Pauly D's tanning accident.
The Jersey Shore gang’s return to Seaside now has a premiere date.
The MTV hit will return to its roots on Jan. 5 in its usual Thursdays at 10 p.m. time slot. Last season in Italy averaged an incredible 9.4 million viewers, including those who watched DVR. The audience declined for the first time, however, for the season finale. Will a return to Jersey resume the show’s amazing ratings Karma?

On that same note... is this solid proof that Jersey Shore is really fake?
Comedian Sean Klitzner cries fowl over this Italian scene claiming the bar brawl is completely fake. The video breaks it down visually, but here are the main components of the argument:
1 – A producer threw the ice, not the bartender: The key to this argument is that the ice comes from the wrong direction, with the camera catching a glimpse of a woman wearing an ear piece. In the slow motion replay, you can even see that woman, presumably a producer, retracting her arm after the ice throw.
2 – The bar was set up for the Snooki attack: Although it's a hopping club, there's no one actually standing at the bar where the showdown happens. In addition, Snooki isn't knocking down expensive bottles of booze. The bar is lined with cheap cocktail mixers.
