I love the fall because that's when apples are in season and taste the best. I would love to try doing this; it looks so delicious.

Fall fashion: Boots
One of my favorite things about the fall is bringing my boots out of storage and putting them back on my feet. When I'm shopping for a new pair of boots, I'm definitely more inclined to purchase a pair that can be wore both with jeans and dresses. Below are some of my suggestions for the season:
Frye Jane Tall Pull-on Boots in Redwood: These are incredibly comfortable and match with almost everything I own.
Frye Paige Tall Riding Boots in Black: I love this sleek, classic fit.

Corso Como Stamford Riding Boots in Ginger: The thinner design is perfect for someone who hates when boots do not fit snug on their calves.
Frye Engineer Boot in Gaucho Tan: These are great as a more casual look.
Steve Madden Candence Boot in Cognac: A great boot for those on a budget.

Granny smith apple pancakes
I was watching the new daytime talk/cooking show called "The Chew" with my dad and they showcased this recipe for fried green apple pancakes. This is a healthy fall breakfast and a really easy recipe! They will look like regular pancakes at first glance and then you bite into baked apple goodness.
1 Egg
1/2 Cup Milk
1 Teaspoon Pumpkin Pie Spice
Zest of 1/2 Lemon
2 Medium Apples pared and cored
Beat baking mix, egg and milk until smooth. Add pumpkin pie spice and lemon zest to batter and mix until incorporated.
Step 2
Grease griddle.
Step 3
Core and cut apples crosswise in 1/8-inch slices.
Step 4
Using a toothpick (or a fork) dip slices into batter. Cook on hot griddle until golden brown, turning once. Serve hot with maple syrup.
The result:

Tip from Debbie: Dip the apples in dry batter before the wet batter, it helps the wet batter stick to the apple!

Finally...military jacket success
I've been searching for a great fall military jacket for months now and I finally had a breakthrough. I found this J. Crew boyfriend field jacket at the outlets this weekend and it's exactly what I wanted! It's a perfect mix of masculine and feminine and looks great with a bright scarf and some skinny jeans...voila.

Fall nail polish colors
Fall brings beautiful, rich colors both in the environment and in fall fashion. One aspect of the change in season that some people ignore is that your summer nail polish colors should be ditched for more violets, reds and maroons. When you aren't as tan as you were in July, light pink nail polish tends to wash out your skin making you look even more pale. Here are some great colors that I would suggest:

This is my favorite shade to wear in the fall/winter.

Essie's Big Spender: a divine lush red-violet cream
Essie's Bordeaux: a deep red wine
OPI's Lincoln Park After Dark: where midnight meets purple
This is my favorite shade to wear in the fall/winter.
Chanel's Gondola: sparking gold and deep purple
