High school student makes her graduation dress out of old homework

She spent days cutting, sewing, gluing and eventually tailoring the grad dress exclusively out of sheets of paper. But the hard work paid off, both for her and her friend Dorothy Graham, who made her dress out of shopping bags, as theirs were the most admired garments at graduation.

Next time your favorite tights go missing, you might check out your guy's drawer, because if a new report is to be believed, "mantyhose"--yes, hosiery for dudes--is totally a thing right now.

The look hasn't exactly gone mainstream yet, but apparently enough men are interested in svelte-ifying and staying warm that demand has increased, and hosiery specialist Emilio Cavallini tells WWD that his recently-launched just for dudes line is doing pretty well. "A growing number of men have been buying tights at emiliocavallini.com since a unisex collection was introduced in June 2009, said Cavallini. Purchases by men account for 2 to 3 percent of the company's annual production of one million tights," reports the paper.

So just how did "mantyhose" come to be a Cavallini specialty? "When we started our online shop we noticed that a lot of tights sized medium-large were being purchased by men.…So I did a search on the Internet and discovered there is a cult following for mantyhose...we came up with the concept of creating tights that both men and women could wear." Basic black is their best seller, and he says most men wear them under pants for warmth, or with shorts to make a fashion statement. And of course, there are some wild patterns available for the more adventurous (check out the his-and-hers pairs from his site above).

We've already seen Spanx for dudes...and a real-life "bro"...and undershirts that second as shapewear...so are mantyhose just the next logical step? "Toy Story" fashion line?

Do you love the "Toy Story" film franchise, but struggle to find ways to wear your Pixar heart on your sleeve? Have you long desired to dress like Woody, Buzz or one of the Pizza Palace aliens, but lack the skill to design and create your own clothing?

The Hong Kong-based fashion label has unveiled a new line of "Toy Story"-inspired clothing, which include character print sweatshirts, costume-like frocks and fun accessories like bags and mufflers. Sure, you may have gone as Buzz Lightyear for Halloween for the past decade and a half, but now, you can wear dress like one of Andy's (former!) toys any day you'd like.

Kardashian Collection: A line of knock-off purses?

If you suspect Kim Kardashian’s marriage was fake, wait until you see her new collection of handbags, which Fashionista says look very familiar. Kim and Khloe went down to Australia for the launch interviews (see below), where Khloe said “these are our designs, we design everything” while Kim insisted that “we're extremely involved in every last process." Hmm.

We perused the full line, and we think the Kardashians should give a little credit to Balenciaga, Hermes, Chanel, Alexander Wang, YSL, and many other designers. The sisters have admittedly knocked off logos, dresses, and now their entire line of handbags raises similar questions. True, the Kollection bags are a good deal cheaper than their lookalikes. From obvious similarities to very close shapes and colors, we’ve rounded up 11 Kardashian Kollection bags that look like knockoffs of other designs. Do you you see the resemblance?

Bad fashion: Alexander Wang's "Spilt Coffee" shirt for Starbucks

Starbucks is celebrating their 40th birthday, and to commemorate they’ve asked Alexander Wang, Sophie Theallet, and Billy Reid, the recipients of the past three annual CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund awards, to design limited edition t-shirts for the brand. The tees are currently available at StarbucksStore.com and select Nordstrom locations for a very pricey $85. Do they not realize it's a recession? We can't even spend $85 on our close friends for their birthdays, so why would we give it to Starbucks for theirs?

All of the tees incorporate the company logos and Alexander Wang decided to do so with a coffee stain design that bleeds into the Starbucks Siren. Funny? Slightly. But we think the joke is on you if you spend $85 to wear a designer coffee stain that promotes Starbucks.

The other thing that makes us sad is that Starbucks tries to act like they did some great thing by selecting Vogue Fashion Fund award winners to make these t-shirts. The Vogue Fashion Fund gives annual grants to support emerging designers. But Alexander Wang is now a well established, successful designer and NONE of the proceeds of these expensive t-shirts go to anything other than Starbucks.

Well, Happy birthday, Starbucks, but consider our skim latte your birthday gift. Maybe we'll even spill it on ourselves for free.
