Google unveils it's file storage service

Google’s long-awaited cloud-based storage solution, Google Drive, has officially launched.

Google Drive integrates with Google Apps, so in addition to storing any file, it will also let you open videos, photos, PDFs, and Google Docs.

The service is offering free 5GB accounts for all users, with the option to upgrade to 25GB for $2.49/mo., 100GB for $4.99/mo., or 1TB for $49.99/mo. Paid accounts also come with 25GB of Gmail storage.

Drive is also an open platform, with a selection of third-party apps available in Google’s Chrome Web Store.
