While I may not be youthful in age, I certainly am at heart. To understand the purpose of such a dance is to understand the creativity and imagination involved in getting it perfected. There are many things unsettling about the youth of today but instead of criticizing perhaps we should simply just listen. I wish I had the dexterity to perform at this level :-) Now, if it can be channeled into something more meaningful perhaps that would take it to an educational level. Or is it already there? Did you know Tutting is derived from the positions people were drawn in the days of the Ancient Egyptians. It is these positions seen in these portraits that have been adopted by dancers today.
